11 Years of Krup Music: Building from Kutch, Growing with Purpose
Beginnings
On 14 February 2015, Krup Music formally began its journey with the release of its debut album Kyan Chhe Kano?. The album, released by Founder Dr. Krupesh Thacker alongside co-founder Dr. Pooja Thacker, marked the public launch of a creative initiative emerging from the Kutch region of Gujarat.
What began as an independent music project has, over eleven years, evolved into an integrated ecosystem spanning music production, film development, publishing, education and therapeutic research.
The foundation of this journey traces back to 2013, when Dr. Krupesh returned to India from the United States with the intention of building a sustainable creative platform within Gujarat. With formal registration of Krup Music and its CSR wing, Give Vacha Foundation, in 2015, the initiative took institutional shape.
Growth and Expansion
Within a year, Krup Music entered Gujarati cinema with its first music association in Thai Jashe (2016). Over time, the organization contributed to films including Chal Man Jeetva Jaiye, Oxygen, Commitment, Mijaaj and Love Ni Bhavai. In 2017, expansion into film production through Krup Production and Je Pan Kahish E Sachuj Kahish marked a significant strengthening of in-house creative capabilities.
Recognition and Milestones
Across our YouTube channels, the ecosystem has generated over 250 million cumulative views and built a community of more than 500,000 subscribers. Growing from Kutch while reaching audiences across regions has been both a responsibility and a learning journey.
Over the years, the ecosystem expanded thoughtfully:
• Krup Music Therapy Clinic & Research Centre, integrating music-based therapeutic practices
• Krup Publishing, launched in 2022 with The Arjun Uvacha book series
• Krup Academy, affiliated with Kutch University under a skill development initiative, offering structured programs in music production and filmmaking
A book authored by Dr. Krupesh from The Arjun Uvacha series has been selected for the 2023 Best Hindi Book award by the Gujarat Sahitya Academy, reflecting recognition in the literary domain.
Education & Impact
One of our music initiatives, Parv – The Youngest Singer, received recognition from Guinness World Records, bringing international visibility to a Gujarat-based creative effort. In recent years, Dr. Krupesh was also invited as a Voting Member of The Recording Academy and as a mentor for GrammyU, strengthening engagement with global music platforms while continuing to operate from Gujarat.
Through Give Vacha Foundation, initiatives such as the Krup Music Therapy Clinic and “Global Clubfoot Awareness Parv” reflect an ongoing commitment to integrating healthcare awareness with cultural engagement.
Looking Ahead
Looking ahead, the proposed Main Bhi Arjun Universe film series is designed to integrate trained participants from Krup Academy into production roles, creating a cycle where education, skill development and creative employment operate together within the region.
As Krup Music completes eleven years on 14 February 2026, the journey reflects a steady progression from a debut album to a multi-vertical creative ecosystem rooted in Gujarat. The focus remains consistent: building from Kutch, strengthening local opportunity, and expanding with responsibility.
