Hollywood Independent Music Awards 2026 World Music Nomination
The official HIMA Awards 2026 Nominees list has been unveiled, signaling a massive breakthrough for independent Indian music on the international stage. Leading the representation for India at the upcoming Hollywood Independent Music Awards 2026 is the sacred Sanskrit composition, “Resonant Roar of Hanuman” by Dr. Krupesh Thacker. Nominated under the highly competitive World Music category, the track from the album Sounds of Sanatan: Vol. 1 is set to feature prominently ahead of the main ceremony on July 30, 2026, at the historic Avalon Hollywood.

The recognition marks another milestone in Krup Music’s long-term vision of taking regional talent from Gujarat to Global through its philosophy of For Artists, By Artists. Over the past decade, the independent record label and film production house has evolved from supporting regional music to building internationally recognised creative intellectual property, including a Guinness World Record, GRAMMY® Awards consideration, and now a Hollywood Independent Music Awards (HIMA) nomination.

Building Global Platforms for Regional Artists
Founded in 2015, Krup Music was established with a simple but ambitious vision: to create global opportunities for artists while preserving India’s cultural identity, including a Guinness World Record, GRAMMY® Awards consideration for Sounds of Sanatan: Vol. 1, and now a Hollywood Independent Music Awards (HIMA) nomination for “Resonant Roar of Hanuman.”
Guided by the philosophy of For Artists, By Artists, the label has consistently encouraged original music, independent creativity and meaningful collaborations. Today, Krup Music has contributed to 18 Gujarati film projects, several Hindi films and more than 100 original music releases, while expanding into films, publishing, education and creative social initiatives through The Krup Universe.
Rather than following trends, the label has focused on developing original intellectual property that can inspire audiences while creating long-term opportunities for artists from regional India.
Sounds of Sanatan: Vol. 1 Continues Its International Journey
The Sanskrit Hanuman Mantra track “Resonant Roar of Hanuman,” nominated at the Hollywood Independent Music Awards (HIMA), is featured on Krup Music’s album Sounds of Sanatan: Vol. 1, which was previously placed in GRAMMY® Awards consideration (For Your Consideration). Together, they continue the creative journey from the Recording Academy to Hollywood.
The album combines Indian spiritual heritage with contemporary music production while presenting timeless philosophies in a format accessible to global audiences.
The album features seven original compositions:
- Sacred Sounds of Ganesha
- Resonant Roar of Hanuman
- Glorious Chants of Jalaram
- Mystical Mantra of Ganpati
- Powerful Echoes of Ram
- Divine Vibrations of Krishna
- Nirvana Bliss of Shiva
Music That Connects with Cinema
Beyond being a standalone musical project, Sounds of Sanatan: Vol. 1 also serves as the musical foundation for Krup Music’s upcoming multilingual film trilogy.
The HIMA-nominated composition “Resonant Roar of Hanuman” also serves as the musical theme of Krup Music’s upcoming Hindi feature film Main Bhi Arjun: Parv. Alongside it, “Glorious Chants of Jalaram” is featured in the Gujarati film Nanakda Pagla Bhare Haranfad, while “Powerful Echoes of Ram” appears in the English film Tiny Steps Take Giant Leaps.
- Resonant Roar of Hanuman featured in Main Bhi Arjun: Parv (Hindi)
- Glorious Chants of Jalaram featured in Nanakda Pagla Bhare Haranfad (Gujarati)
- Powerful Echoes of Ram featured in Tiny Steps Take Giant Leaps (English)
This integrated creative approach reflects Krup Music’s commitment to building original intellectual property across music and cinema while carrying Indian stories to international audiences.
Music with a Purpose
For Krup Music, music is not created solely for entertainment.
The album Sounds of Sanatan: Vol. 1, including the HIMA-nominated composition “Resonant Roar of Hanuman,” was conceived to support two flagship initiatives of The Krup Universe CSR initiative at Give Vacha Foundation:
- Music Therapy for All
- Global Clubfoot Awareness Parv
Both initiatives are guided by the broader mission of Awareness Through Arts, using original music as a medium for healthcare awareness, education and positive social transformation.
Dr. Krupesh Thacker: From Grammy Awards to HIMA 2026
The journey from GRAMMY® Awards consideration to a HIMA nomination reflects Krup Music’s growing international recognition for original Indian music.
In addition to Sounds of Sanatan: Vol. 1 receiving GRAMMY® Awards consideration, Dr. Krupesh Thacker serves as a Recording Academy Voting Member for the GRAMMY Awards and has also been invited as a GRAMMY U Mentor, reflecting his continuing contribution to music, education and creative leadership.
With the Hollywood Independent Music Awards Ceremony and Hollywood Red Carpet scheduled for 30 July 2026, Dr. Krupesh Thacker will proudly represent India at the same international platform where A. R. Rahman was previously honoured.
Reflecting on the recognition, Dr. Krupesh Thacker said:
“Krup Music was founded on the belief that meaningful music deserves meaningful platforms. Our philosophy of ‘For Artists, By Artists’ has always been about creating opportunities for original voices while taking regional talent from Gujarat to global audiences. The HIMA nomination for ‘Resonant Roar of Hanuman’ is not merely a recognition of a single composition; it is an encouragement to continue creating purpose-driven projects that connects culture, creativity and social impact.”
Dr. Pooja Thacker, Ayurvedic Physician, Film Producer and Community Health Director of Give Vacha Foundation, added:
“Every project at Krup Music is driven by a larger purpose. Through initiatives such as Music Therapy for All and Global Clubfoot Awareness Parv, we have always believed that music can educate, heal and inspire. We are grateful that this vision is now receiving recognition on an international platform.”
